Major Accountabilities

Serve as the analytical project lead for launch and lifecycle management projects, collaborating with multiple cross-functional partners.

Manage analytical control strategies and product specifications, including the design, development, validation, transfer, implementation, and performance monitoring of analytical procedures and technologies.

Inspire scientific excellence and innovation by identifying and implementing improved analytical, regulatory, and quality approaches.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives and champion innovative solutions, including digitalization, automation, and AI-enabled ways of working.

Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, learning, and continuous improvement across project teams.

Maintain effective planning, prioritization, and collaboration with laboratory analysts, manufacturing science and technology, production specialists, quality assurance, regulatory CMC, project leaders, and other stakeholders.

Design and plan analytical studies, interpret complex data, and communicate conclusions to enable informed decision-making and timely delivery of project milestones.

Support change control activities, regulatory submissions, health authority inspections, and audit readiness.

Lead or support root cause investigations and implementation of sustainable corrective and preventive actions.

Provide technical coaching, mentoring, and knowledge sharing to develop colleagues and strengthen organizational capability.

Influence stakeholders across functions to align on priorities, overcome challenges, and deliver project objectives.

Act as a role model for a positive, solution-oriented, and patient-focused mindset.

  • Obligatory Requirements
  • University degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 4 years of professional experience in the pharmaceutical industry or API manufacturing.
  • Experience working in analytical laboratories within a GMP environment, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work effectively across organizational boundaries.
  • Broad functional exposure across relevant departments or business areas.
  • Strong communication skills across and within departments.
  • Good English and German language skills, both spoken and written.

Benefits & Rewards

  • Expected Annual Base Salary Range for role: CHF85,400.00 - CHF158,600.00
  • The base salary offered is determined based on gender-neutral objectives, such as relevant skills, competencies and experience in accordance with the Novartis pay setting policy and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically.
