Responsibilities
- Develop and document a detailed testing strategy tailored to the complex migration from mainframe assembler applications to the target landscape on Java/SQL under Linux.
- Identify and integrate various testing methodologies (unit, functional, and comparison testing) into the testing framework.
- Define and integrate appropriate testing tools (e. g. X-Ray).
- Coordinate and oversee the execution of testing activities, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
- Support the test execution process across multiple testing phases, including planning, environment setup, execution, and reporting.
- Act as the primary liaison between project stakeholders, including architects, developers, and project management teams.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a small test team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Monitor and report on testing progress, defects, and overall quality metrics to stakeholders.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.
- Produce comprehensive test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.
- Provide regular updates and status reports to senior project management and other stakeholders.
Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience in complex projects as a Test Manager.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, particularly unit testing and functional testing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect easily with all project stakeholders.
- Experience with Agile methodologies.
