• Introduction
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with hotel standards, recipes, and presentation guidelines.
• Deliver exceptional, personalized service while creating a welcoming and professional bar experience for guests.
• Maintain expert knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wines, beers, and premium beverage offerings to provide recommendations.
• Ensure the bar is fully stocked, clean, organized, and prepared for service at all times.
• Process guest orders accurately, handle payments, and maintain proper cash handling procedures.
• Monitor responsible alcohol service and comply with all legal and hotel policies regarding alcohol consumption.
• Maintain the highest standards of hygiene, sanitation, and food safety in accordance with hotel regulations.
• Collaborate closely with the restaurant and service teams to ensure seamless guest experiences.
• Monitor inventory levels, minimize waste, and report stock shortages or equipment issues.
• Contribute to achieving departmental service, quality, and revenue objectives while maintaining the luxury standards of the hotel.
• Your main tasks
• Employee, Family & Friends room rates and other benefits (e. g., in the many restaurants of MRH-Zermatt SA hotels)
• Exclusive fitness room available for staff, as well as a wide range of sports activities in Zermatt
• Access to our pool area during staff swim times
• Doors open to various courses through a development program, for example with the company Ritzy
• Discounts on seasonal or annual mountain lift passes with the Zermatt resident card
• For employees who cannot or do not want to work the full winter and summer seasons in Zermatt, we support them in finding a complementary position together with our partner hotels

Benefits

• Previous experience as a bartender or barman in a luxury hotel, fine dining restaurant, or upscale bar.
• Excellent knowledge of classic cocktails, mixology techniques, wines, spirits, beers, and beverage service.
• Outstanding customer service and communication skills with a polished, professional appearance.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with an international clientele.
• Knowledge of responsible alcohol service, hygiene, and food safety regulations.
• Basic cash handling and Point-of-Sale (POS) system experience.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• Fluent in German and English; additional languages are considered an advantage.
• Bartending certification or hospitality-related qualification is preferred.
